Five years after Spotlight Kids Company's first production of MATILDA THE MUSICAL, we are bringing it back for another incredible experience for a whole new group of performers! This show is special because we will be including every student, in grades 1-12, for a truly amazing outdoor production. The production spans two weekends. Read on for more details!
PERFORMANCES

All performances will be held on the campus of St. Elizabeth University in Convent Station, NJ in their beautiful outdoor Greek Amphitheater. The theatre seats over 500 patrons and allows attendees to bring their own seating, as well as picnic lunches and snacks.

REHEARSALS
All performers will have ONE rehearsal a week, beginning the week of February 17th and running until the week of May 19th. All rehearsals are held at the Spotlight Kids Company's Theatre Studio at the Madison Community House, 25 Cook Avenue, in Madison, NJ.
Each performer's rehearsal day will be determined during the audition and callback process, and can be planned around recurring conflicts. We want to make this process flexible with performer's schedules so that we can include as many performers as possible!
Please note that students will only be allowed a MAXIMUM of two unexcused absences from regular rehearsals before their role is rescinded. In order to make this flexible schedule work with such a big show, performers will need to dedicate their weekly rehearsal day to Matilda the Musical rehearsal.

Performers should prepare one selection from the options below. You do not have to choose a song for a specific character - sing whatever song showcases you the best in whatever octave you choose!

Tuition Fees and More Information
Please note that a non-refundable, $50 casting deposit will be collected via Venmo, cash, or check at the time of the audition. If you'd like to be considered for this show, this deposit is collected to ensure your commitment to the production. This will then offset the cost of the tuition fee for the production.
Tuition for this production will be $400 following the $50 casting deposit. The total tuition for the production is $450 and includes scripts, t-shirts, costumes, props, and other production expenses.
